GRT Data Innovation and Discovery Hub

Training

These courses are aimed at governmental officials, researchers, and professionals from a variety of sectors in South Africa, such as agriculture, healthcare, and mining. These courses will assist such individuals to expand their skills in statistics, relevant programming languages, and AI techniques relevant within their field.

The fields of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence are trans-disciplinary fields dealing with the study of “data” across multiple sectors. These fields integrate a number of relevant disciplines such as statistics, computing, communication, management, and sociology to turn data into useful predictions and insights.

The Gauteng Research Triangle (GRT) is a partnership between the University of Johannesburg (UJ), the University of Pretoria (UP), and the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), and under this umbrella the GRT-Data Science group was established.

Each course is assessed, and upon completion candidates will receive a University Certificate of Competence.

This selection of Training Courses is a collection of relevant, prestigious, and impactful courses, designed, facilitated, and assessed by the GRT-Data Science group.
